i heart palm springs

If you’ve never been, get a trip planned ASAP. Jeff and I went to Palm Springs as a quick little getaway as a mini honeymoon. If you love kitschy hotels, restaurants with beautifully unique atmospheres, mountain views and contemporary mid century modern design, then this should be your next vacation destination. Jeff and I stayed at my ever favorite, The Saguaro Hotel Palm Springs. First up, FOOD. Basically all we did was eat and lay by the pool but what else are you supposed to do on vacation?? I had a whole list of places to eat, i heard great things about Cheeky’s but the line was longer than my hunger could wait. We hit up Trio just down the street and it was everything. Jeff and I love a good breakfast sandwich, and this place did NOT disappoint. The fried egg sandwich and the grown up grilled cheese = a 10. We wandered around the town, perusing the mid century modern furniture boutiques and vintage shops, took a ton of selfies & enjoyed the perfect 80 degree weather. After lounging by the pool, we hit up a trendy spot for a drink, at Eight4Nine. I loved the chic ombre pink details and the lit up marble bar. Then we went to The Purple Palm at The Colony Palms Hotel. This has to be my favorite spot, atmosphere, food & experience were all exceptional. We made Saturday Brunch reservations at Norma’s at The Parker Palm Springs. First off, love love loved everything about the hotel, the arrival, every detail was like stepping back in time. We were greeted with mini smoothie shooters and seated on the lush patio. To be honest, the food didn’t satisfy me as much as the design and decor of everything, and for the price i expected way way more. After brunch, we explored the neighborhoods of Palm Springs, daydreaming about building our next home with details of homes we saw. Up next, much needed Pool Party time at The Saguaro Hotel. Highly recommend it, fun music, floaties for days, yoga by the pool & i even spotted a guy with the same tattoo as me [hilarious]. Drink of choice was vodka, water, splash of pineapple, splash of coconut rum = so tropical & refreshing. Then we got ready for a sexy dinner out, and went to the ACE Hotel and Swim Club for a drink before dinner. Somehow people recommended we go to Lulus California Cafe, don’t. Just don’t. Luckily, Sunday Brunch at Reservoir at Arrive Hotel knocked it out of the park. Jalapeño bacon + bottomless mimosas, i was in heaven. Definitely a must eat. Overall, it was the perfect little getaway, and quick 4 hour drive from Scottsdale, AZ. Can’t wait to go back. xo, Wanderlust Wertz.
